One plot in San Pedro de Amandi, 90-826, known as Finca As Borreas: ground steep enough for goats, and full of slate. In 2022 hail took the whole crop, and we almost forgot the plot. In 2023, with very little work, it gave us 700 kilos, and that wine won Best Young Red at Amandi and Oro+ in the Guía de Viños de Galicia. This is the next vintage. Deep on the nose: wild blackberry, cherry, and madroño, the fruit of the strawberry tree. The fruit arrives all at once and stays, warm, and tasting of nowhere but here. 650 bottles.
