Terraced vineyards above the Sil river

The vineyard

The slopes make you slow down.

Near Amandi, small parcels rest on slate and granite above the Sil. Every grape is cut by hand and carried out in small crates. No herbicides in the rows; native plants and wild creatures are welcome company. The work is deliberate, because the place demands it.
